Antoine Watts the founder of Sluggers Baseball possesses a wealth of baseball experience and knowledge. Played at Homestead High School in Cupertino where he earned all conference honors Junior and Senior year. Continued his career at the Junior College level where he received All Conference and Gold Glove honors. He was very privileged to be under the tutelage of the great Mike Garcia. He continued his career with a handful of independent leagues for five years. After a successful baseball career in which he gained a wealth of expertise in different aspects of the game, he decided to pass on his knowledge to the youth. Antoine has a passion for coaching, teaching and helping young players understand what it takes to compete at the next level.
Eddy Puga- Pitching/Catching- HEAD Instructor
Eddy will assist with pitchers, catchers and infielders. He's a local baseball player who attended Fremont High School in Sunnyvale Ca, where he was a four year varsity starter, All League and League MVP. He continued his playing career at Cabrillo College with continued success being named to the All Conference Team as one of the top closers in the area. He then went on to play Professional Baseball in the Desert League where he played infield and catcher. Eddy is currently the Cupertino JV Head Coach and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the SBC staff.
james marino- Head Instructor (Coach)
James played baseball at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale earning all league honors. James will work with the first baseman. pitchers and outfielders.
NICK DEL Rosario-Infield/Outfield Instructor (Coach)
Nick played baseball at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale where he was an All League player. He then transferred to the Academy of Arts in San Francisco. Nick brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Nick has worked with Sluggers Baseball since 2018.
AJ Aguon- Head Instructor
AJ Aguon played at James Logan High School and West High School in Tracy where he was an All Conference player at the middle infield position. Played summer baseball for Coach Rob Bruno who is currently the GM for Nor Cal Baseball. AJ has 12 plus years of coaching experience at the High School and College level. He boasts 3 BACS league titles, while his main goal is to see his players go on to college and succeed. AJ has been with Sluggers Baseball since 2013 where he led the 18U team with a #1 overall ranking.
